The Browns steal their pics somewhere, I'm sure!
Do you think that first leopard is a male, SN? It looks like it but seems to lack the equipment?
What a drive!

Okay that evening drive was in fact extreme successful with the two leopards and the lion
although would have loved to simply sit in camp and watch all the animals too

Lisbeth & Flutterby: Yes we were lucky.
RogerFraser: It had been a great first day.
Richprins & Lisbeth: Agreed maybe the him was a her
Pumbaa: That is a great spot to sit in camp and relax
Alf: He was a very confident Lion with huge paws, definitely ruled his part of Kruger.

24th August 2015 - Day 3: Lower Sabie
We took the H10 to Mlondozi for the morning drive and few kilometres along the road we spotted this pride of lions trying to catch the morning sun.

They were being shadowed by a Jackal, so there may have been some earlier action that we missed. They looked quite relaxed now and would walk a few meters then rest to warm up, then get going again.

One of the pride spotted a Warthog and started a hunt…

But the juvenile lion was easily spotted and the pig took off at a great speed.

The Jackal joined in and it turned into a race between the pig and the jackal

This had the whole car laughing
, the pig may have won by a head, but they were about the same speed. With the fun gone the lions headed into the long grass and over the hill towards Mlondozi.

Mel and Teagan at Mlondozi.

And Roxy and Kelly in some serious conversations about the sighting

On the way back this bull Elephant crossed in front of us, he didn’t have the largest tusks but was huge and dwarfed our Landrover. Granny maintains that this was the biggest Elephant in Kruger

And just around the corner from him these cubs crossed the road, the Lioness what was leading the way was just disappearing into the bush as we arrived.
