While we were watching the meerkats, there was the mongoose still foraging quite close by. But I had to make a choice and at the end of the day, the mongoose came only second. Also, because it was only one while the meerkats were a group of eight (the rest was entertaining the SO on the other side of the road...) Once the meerkat ran further into the field the mongoose got all my attention though

I kinda was glad, nan
Otherwise I would have stuck to the meerkat and the mongoose might have been gone... Plus, it was on the other side of the road, so I had to climb into the back of the car, so the SO didn't have to turn the car around. The climbing also made sure I left it to the very last minute
