Hi Greenies
We have decided to enable post attachments this will enable members to post images into their posts and embed them in a position that makes sense to the post . The way to use this new function is :
1. Open a new post or reply to a post .
2.Underneath the post window there will be tabs Options and Upload attachment
3.Click on Upload Attachment
4.Click on choose file to open a window that allows you to navigate locally on your computer to the file location. You may only choose one file. We will limit upload files initially to a maximum size of 500kb .I would suggest even smaller files if you are doing a trip report with multiple images else pages will load slower .
5.Click the Add the file button to upload the file.
6.In the bottom left corner of the browser window a status will display with the upload status until it is finnished.
7.When finished the upload a new window appears below the post window with Posted attachments.
8.You can repeat the proces to upload multiple files .
9.To use the uploaded files in a post use the place inline button. When you click this it will paste a BBcode into your post that will display the attachment like ['attachment=0]IMG_8573.jpg[/'attachment] .If you dont do this it will only show the files as attachments that can be downloaded .
Upload the file tab
Selecting the file .
Inline button

Ja, thanks for this, Roger, and Dzombo for bringing it up!
Looks like the problem was with the old server, which we left a few years back, but there we are!

Just to clarify in other words we can now upload photo's onto the thread direct and not go through a third party site for eg photo bucket or witch ever . Have we got the space to handle all the photo's that will be coming in

Yes that is the intention .Our hosting provider allows us an unlimited storage facilities according to their terms .We will obviously monitor this new functionality to ensure it does not impact the site functions . If it does then we may need to review this but for now post awayPRWIN wrote: Just to clarify in other words we can now upload photo's onto the thread direct and not go through a third party site for eg photo bucket or witch ever .
