Let's hope that it does not go that far

Re: Questionable Culling in Kruger
Kruger has been destitute before, no panic, and worse droughts over millennia. We forget we had a decade or more of unusually wet years, so back to normal?
The animals and plants are used to it, genetically and instinctively.
But elephant are a problem now, regarding the timeframe. They will die off too, presuming we may have a 7 year dry cycle, but will take most of the Park with them?
Regardless, as long as the actual surface area of the Park is conserved, any recovery is possible.

Re: Questionable Culling in Kruger
As long as they are not allowed to emigrate, there will be too many elephants in Kruger, but at the speed that they are being poached elsewhere, it might be better to keep them.............if the territory resists

Being too many, they ruin the eco system for the other animals, if they do not have enough space.

Re: Questionable Culling in Kruger
Hopefully they kill the whole family and not only a few members
Anyway we do not yet know if they are going to do it, let's hope that it is not necessary. Elephants are kind of sacred to me

Re: Questionable Culling in Kruger
According to the video the sick and the weak will die (of course) and they are no good for food in any case and the drought being a natural event in nature,
man should not intervene. Obviously it was even worse in 1991, was culling done then? I cannot find anything on Google
