Those ellie bulls in that area are always a bit strange
We once turned around on the Tzendze Loop because one was not willing to clear the road
We do also always see tsessebes only in the area around Mopani
You had a couple of stunning sightings there although it still is looking extreme dry

Re: A visit to planet Mopani
Thank you all for the nice comments
The next morning we decided to take it easy and make breakfast at our bungalow. This was the big day we will meet the Dimwits
But that will only be at 12 so we decided to take another road trip to Mooiplaas waterhole.
Just outside the gate we saw some movement in the bush. A big heard of elephants wanted to cross the road causing a small road block

This little one checked us out for a while.....then he asked his mommy: is that aliens I smell mommy

Mommy I'm afraid of aliens

Come mommy lets run

I'm getting out of here

The cars in front of us never gave these elephants any space. And this lady decided she wants a better view

And then the next little one came flying over the road...... look at my wings mommy....I can fly

Then came big brother to make sure he is ok

After they crossed the road this youngster was still checking us out. Mommy these aliens look weird

Aliens I'm watching you

Next stop...... Mooiplaas waterhole

That is a VERY dangerous situation, Alpheus!
It is highly unusual for the babies to leave the moms, looking at your pics?
Those cars were lucky, IMO...maybe a herd not really used to tourists?
