Thanks Pumbaa,

Long time no see ...smile.... but some days after we got back from our trip my PC failed completely and it took about 2 weeks I got it back (up and running)
Just had a look at the last 10 pages of your TT and wowwww.... don;t say I am the only one with luck \O \O Great pictures and lovely stories.
My next short story is about "something" I never seen in real myself in kruger... it has something to do with dreaming of a white Christmas... O0

Aat&Elly 2016: 02- Snow-White

Post by aat »

*** Travel Tales ***
Trip to Kruger NP 2016 (October – November) New series of Stories

02 – Snow-White in Kruger

Hi all,
This time a short story but I am pleased to share this sighting with you.
It’s about a male lion but not just one of many. We have seen lions like him on TV but never seen with our own eyes… today it happened…

We stayed some nights in Letaba but not much to see in the area. One day we decided to leave early for a drive to Satara. Just before Satara we took the S90 and then the S41.
It was dry, very dry and also very quiet with animals and cars…

Just looking around and suddenly on the RH side a lion
Not just a young male but a white lion … and together we said… Snow-White

First photo… they were curious who was looking at them
He was not really close near the road so I was happy I could use my nice zoom..

Realizing this was something special I tried to catch him as good as possible

-

Happy he was looking at us… a face is always better than a butt… smile

-
Image
-

Waiting…waiting… will he stand up ?

-
Image
-

And yes…he did…

-

-

Getting up and even walking a bit…. Amazing and so unexpected…

-

-

I remember some docs on TV about white lions but never thought to see one with my own eyes

-

Suddenly some other lions showed up , so nice to end this short story with another one close to Snow-White

Just after this shot Snow-White followed the other lions and was in a few seconds out of sight.

Another special sighting for us , thinking you have seen almost all possible animals and Kruger surprises you with something new….

We hope you enjoyed this short story … more to come ….

Aat & Elly
