There it is in red, Rob...unusual, as the pitches are normally adjacent to the staff villages...which in this case is way on the other side of camp!

It has always been there. One can only see it during winter months.
It's actually right next to the staff village.

Robert, what exactly is the nature of your query here? Are you interested in honing your soccer skills while in the Park? I am sure that you can inquire from the manager at most camps should you wish to make use of their soccer fields.
Other forms of exercise for you may include swimming, as most camps provide swimming pools, although not of olympic standard. There is a large swimming pool in Skukuza staff village, but that is not for visitors.
You may enjoy a round of golf at the world-famous Skukuza Golf course, or run a marathon there once a year?
Cycling is permitted in camps, provided you keep quiet and don't go too fast. Some also jog around camp.
If you are interested in cross-training, there are a number of facilities within a stone's throw of Phalaborwa gate, near Letaba Camp, including athletics tracks and rugby fields, as well as tennis courts, squash courts and miniature golf.
For a visitor of your age I would suggest the short walking trails present in some camps like Berg en Dal and Punda Maria.
for more sedate relaxation, a spa is available in Skukuza, and one can do fishing at Reenvoƫl Dam once a year.
Hope this helps.
