Is 'mirroring" (not so sure that's a word -O ) quite a common practice with photographers? I've never thought of doing it.

It is quite coming as in the old days of film you turned the neg with the back to the front , this is the same. play with it as it can some times take a normal good photo and give it that something extra.

ps was looking at digital photo professional and don't see the rotating comand needed

I think I saw a mirror command in the new Photobucket Advanced settings.

What did I do wrong with this pic.
I can see that I should maybe have mirrored it for staters....

I hope you don't mind but I,ve placed your crop under the orig too see what the others have to say as well and what they think could have been done to get a better photo. I normaly take a wide shot like that and then crop to how I will like the photo as on a couple occas I have wished I had a full- landscape shot also to play with. Just gives one more scope
