There is a section of the R538 road leading to Paul Kruger and Phebeni gates that is badly affected after the rains. Small vehicles and vehicles with caravans will have trouble passing through. Please use alternative gates to enter and exit KNP.The R538 is a national road that is not under KNP’s responsibility. We do however see it fitting to warn our guests traveling to and from the above mentioned gates for entrace and exit.

⚠️Update⚠️
The R536 Road has two paths of the road opened for both traffic, you should drive through it with much ease.

Hi,

when everything will go well we will be on our way to Kruger next Thursday. Are there still road works on the N4 into the direction from OR Tambo to Malelane?

And any hint for an alternative exit gate than Punda Maria as last year we had the pleasure in being held up by a community protest which we for sure want to avoid another time. Our last camp would be Shingwedzi.

Thanks so much for your help here \O

Yes there will still be roadworks on the N4 before Malelane, Pumbaa! :-(

But often it is not much of a holdup! 0()
