Our reply:

Dear Anthony

While Africa Wild registered as an interested and affected party, we have come to realise over the years that these public participation processes regarding the multitude of new developments in Kruger and elsewhere are merely rubber-stamp exercises issued at great expense by SANParks as an expensive afterthought to comply with government regulations.

Thank you for your efforts, but these projects have all been pre-ordained long ago, with financial transactions being the prime motivator, not conservation nor customer satisfaction in our opinion.

It is all about money for SANParks and government, and we regard these deals as questionable in the extreme especially as it was indicated to us some years ago that developments in the South of the Park were at an end.

Public participation has not had an iota of influence on state decisions, in our experience.

Regards

Africa Wild

Complete Lack of Place.. Advertised as a Luxury Remote camp >> Ja well no fine !! >> situated on the Busiest TAR Road in Kruger and next to one of the BIG 3 Restaurant, Shop /Picnic Sites conglomorates in Kruger>> Who is for camping at Gold Reef City over Easter Week end ?? >> R 5000 per night at this money making facility. I wouldnt pay R 10 .
Campsite 4.jpg
This image is of a Campsite at Rooiputs where we stay annually 8-16 days a trip.. Thats a proper remote camp (Costs Jane and I R 146 per night for the 2 of us ) < NO Electricity, NO Shop, NO Tar Road, NO Passing Traffic, NO Staff on site (You are on your own = NICE), No Flush Loos , only cold Shower (Beer Tin Nozzle with punched random holes) NO adjacent Picnic Site, NO Restaurant , NO Noise, NO Neighbours>> just miles of RAW Kalahari and Big and hairy House cats to keep you company. If Botswana Parks can get it right >> Why cant SANParks
