Thanks Mel, Pumbaa, RP, Lis & Flutts for the comments :ty: X#X

What with being overseas and all the photobucket issues I've stalled a bit on this... but I've now got the whole TR moved across to flickr so it's time to continue. \O

Before completing our sightings for April 11th I thought I'd include a brief interlude with some of our better sightings of these special creatures O:V O:V

Exquisite, Peej! ^Q^ ^Q^ ^Q^

Especially interesting that first pic with what seems a growing notch at the tip of the horn, almost like an ellie tusk! \O

April 11th Continued

After the great sightings in the morning on the S1 we couldn't help but venture back that way in the afternoon

This time we drove further towards Phabeni. Along the route we saw plenty of general game as well as a squirrel crossing the road and some impala having a bit of an argument O:V

Just past Nyamundwa Dam we found a tree with a very nice addition O/\ O/\ O\/ O\/
Initially it was very difficult to see in amongst all the leaves and branches, but then it got up and we had a clear view of our third leopard of the day :-0 :-0

Image

The leopard descended onto a lower branch which gave a fantastic view! Given its size I think it was probably a male... and he gave us some great photo opportunities as he surveyed the area [O]

A couple of jackals were running around making a terrible noise, which in turn got the leopard a lot more alert. What we hadn't realised was that there was actually another leopard cruising through the area (we found out from chatting to some people later who had seen it)... so that was probably why this chap got so alert and defensive suddenly O**

His snarling seemed to have done the job, and then after a big yawn he decided to head down from his vantage point

Most of the vehicles continued on their way at this point, but we stuck around and after a bit of chasing back and forth along the road, we got one last sight of him as he wandered off in the long grass O\/ O\/
