Thanks RP, you are a star 0/0 the subject has been very smoky to say the least; finally it has cleared up a bit \O

Why do they want to make the land claims look much worse, than they really are? :-? Pay the poor people and get it over with!

It's a smokescreen to justify the commercial developments, IMO, and political posturing...NOT the Park's problem at all!!!

Like all the rest! They are all excuses to make Kruger an economical success (have my doubts on this point) along with gaining votes. Three million votes are quite a lot O**

An interesting point to note is that the 5km-wide internal "utilisation zone" for selective harvesting by neighbouring communities only applies to Limpopo province, at the moment...

This province is a hotbed of opposition to the current President, while Mpumalanga is the opposite.

However, there is no reason why vast stretches of the Kruger border in Mpumalanga should not enjoy the same privilege for neighbouring communities there? 0-

Why should there be a need to harvest Mopanie worm??
For sure some cultures have their ways with all due respect,
However the need remains there because there is no
tree to be found outside the park anylonger. So by the way
please enlighten me on the sacred mopanie worm.
