Day 5, 25 April 2017, Lower Sabie

Just after leaving the lions to carry on to Croc Bridge the Brat spotted a Namaqua Dove...not too common.



A bit further on we came across some Tree-hornbills.





We got onto the H4-2 but it was pretty quiet. We did disturb a Hooded Vulture eating something on the road.

We decided to try the S82 and found a Gabar Goshawk having a bath.

We made a quick stop at Sunset Dam, where this hippo was chomping on some branches.



It was still quite early but I thought it was time to get back to camp, where I insisted that Mommo have a nap! As the Brat needs less looking-after, my dad needs more.

The new EH3 accommodation. We had the middle unit.

How is the soundproofing in those accommodations, having a wall in common?

That EH accommodation Perfect price though. I just wish they hadn't built them in that U shape and on top of each other but if your neighbours are cool, then it's fine

Nice to see some different birds. The unit was fine nan...and they've just built new ablutions so everything is shiny and new!

At least it's all been renovated, so nice and clean. The braais are a bit squashed together but our neighbours were all very friendly. It amazed me that most of the people staying in these units were foreigners.

Day 5, 25 April 2017, Lower Sabie

For our afternoon drive we had wanted to do the Salitje road but it was closed , so we decided to try the S29 and come back down on the H10, but it was a very quiet drive.

On the low-level bridge, a boon with some weed.

We headed up the H4-1 for a bit to see if we could find anything exciting, but no luck.

So, it had been a very quiet afternoon and this was now our 5th day, and still no leopards...Bushcraft would have had a melt-down by now!!
