If there is no time for questions, why the meetings? There is no need for a presentation, the whole 10 years plan has already been presented in written form :-?

Above link
More about Sa meeting ,this was from our local newspaper reporter.

Just for clarity ; - time for Questions was limited,
- The big argument from KNP , that commercialization is necessary, because they must economically survive , must be taken away by bringing in the politicians . Government must take responsibility to find other resources , as KNP cant be the cash producer for SanParks. Tourism is not only KNP.

The 10 year plan is yet to be created, hence the meetings. As said, one can ask questions at any time, but time runs out, and the presentation of the current situation can be presented online or in writing...a Power point presentation.

I think selected questions/suggestions raised in the sub-groups should be the main focus of questions and discussions, as public input/dialogue is the point of the meetings?

The meeting ends once the questions have been summarised and revealed to the whole group.

Thanks, dup! X#X

If this is the case, how could they already have asked for expressions of interest for all these new camps etc that they have been touting? So in effect, what you are saying is that our function is to listen to something we already know and make suggestions to help them formulate a new Kruger Model that most of us don't want?

If I am not completely wrong, the 10 years plan has been presented with lots of crazy proposals, but maybe not yet approved -O- SPAs, Canoes, fishing, bush braais etc. but including all the parks. I have asked several times, why is only Kruger discussed during the meetings? Well, I can imagine that including all the parks would be too big a mouthful for a meeting.

So very true to the point Lis,...Is it all about National parks or maybe just Kruger!!!?

If Kruger only then surely this management plan sucks only to suite SANparks in a very localized situation!! Who in fact are the gifted Managers of Kruger??, subject to the higher order!!!

Hopefully all in all, in a bigger context, oh ubhejane, your positive thought much appreciated.
