The 2016 drought wrecked havoc on the hippos due to decreased feeding resources. These pics were taken from our veranda/porch at Lower Sabie.

The following shows the classic roll maneuver… I was surprised to see it used on dry land, but I suppose with a tough hide it becomes necessary.
