Richprins: Yeah, we were a bit slow this year, there was at least two to three hours between Leopard sightings. Keep the extra info going in the comments ^Q^

Bushcraft: Sad to hear the Civet disappeared, and I had no idea that this was a spotted Buffalo 0*\

Lisbeth, nan, Alf, Flutterby, Pumbaa, All-Nature: Thanks for the comments and for following \O

Day 5 – 17th August 2016 (Continued)

Having to hurry along with the report, as we leave for Kruger soon.....

We entered the Nwaswitsontso loop.from the South side and first up was a family of Ground Hornbill

As we were exiting the loop, we drove into a group of cars at a Leopard kill. Things were hectic, as they always are if you arrive late at a Leopard sighting. Two white bakkies had the prime spot to view the kill, and were not moving, we jostled ourselves into a spot where we could get a view and waited for others to slowly move on, but no, the white bakkies were not moving for anyone.

Luckily for us we had maneuvered in a spot where we could see, I felt for others that were staring into mostly branches.

After eating the leopard, which seemed unfazed by all the cars, gave us the eyeball before jumping down and disappearing into the riverbed.

Day 5 – 17th August 2016 (Continued)

We headed back to Tshokwane, there was still some water on what could have once been called a dam, at the Lioness hadn’t moved, just turned around to sun her other side.

Tshowane had been full, so we diverted and went past Orpen Dam again, where we spend 30 minutes watching Impala trying to get a drink while being stalked by a few crocodile.
