Ja, Olifants is one of those camps "struggling" with their restaurants... :O^

You foreigners seem to get special treatment from everyone! @#$

The scenery looks very nice, best views in Kruger there!

I still cant understand why you play 3 kinds of rugby in a country of only 500 people... 0*\

For sure the views are pretty stunning up that way, and less Lions to attract the masses. \O

Yes Lisbeth i think you can rent it. It is the Lebombo Guesthouse. What a view to wake up to in the morning!

Pity you missed the dogs and leopards. :-(
Yes FB, we were disappointed that neither was seen, but still had a fantastic day!

The koorhans are always cackling away :O^

Those tusks are really big

Strange to see three koris together, mostly there is only one -O-

The koorhan shut up as soon as i switched to video mode. Typical! 0*\ The bustards were on a family outing I think \O

Thanks eveyone for your nice comments on the scenery shots. The views are breathtaking around Olifants and Letaba.

Always like the area between Olifants and Letaba and one of my favourite Areas in the entire park X#X

So thank, Ratel, for brining me that area closer although I live that far away - Awesome shots expecially from the buchbuks in Letaba X#X

No problem Pumbaa, thanks for coming along for the ride! The Letaba bushbucks were really fun. Such gentle creatures.

Wednesday 23rd August (continued)

Arriving back at Olifants we first went to reception to get a final decision on the morning walk for the following day. Despite reception trying to talk us out of looking for Pel's by saying they hadn't been seen recently, when Dennis the guide arrived he happily confirmed that yes they were seeing the owls. He then called 'the powers that be' and received approval to access the area where the owls reside, and the plan was complete! Yay for Dennis, he was great! ^Q^

We then had a quick and non-memorable dinner at the restaurant before heading straight to bed as tomorrow's start would be the earliest of the entire trip. Would it pay off? Would we find the elusive and amazing Pel's Fishing Owl?
