Is it still taboo to wear socks with sandals? I have arthritic big toes and without socks, sandals are uncomfortable. I really don't care but I don't want my wife getting embarrassed and nagging me. :) How about pop-socks?

We can always spot the foreigners as they wear socks with their sandals, especially the Dutch.

If missus complains ask her if she has some knee length skin coloured stockings you could use??

I wear slops and socks when it's cold in the morning...very practical, just take the socks off as required!

When I see socks in sandals I cannot help thinking that it must be someone with terrible feet and toes wearing them But then again why care what others are thinking?
