The driver and three of the passengers sustained various injuries.
A white Proton sedan driven by a young woman with four passengers, all from Kwazulu Natal veered of the road the road and hit a tree just off the H3 tourist road, about 7km away from Afsaal Picnic Spot towards Malelane Gate today, 19 December 19 at around 08:30, the KNP said in a statement

The driver and three of the passengers sustained various injuries, none of which appeared to be life threatening at the time they were attended to at the scene by the local Skukuza doctor.

“It is not known as to what exactly caused the accident but possible indications are that the driver could have taken her eyes off the road for a second when the accident occurred. We would like to wish the injured a speedy recovery. We would also like to take this opportunity to appeal to tourists who visit the Park to please remain alert at all times and not to lose concentration whilst driving, especially with the current warm prevailing conditions in the Park”, said the Acting Managing Executive, Nicholus Funda.

The guests arrived in the Park today using Numbi Gate and were on their way out of the Park through Malelane Gate when the accident occurred.

The picture of this article, as indicated just below it, is not related to what is reported.

I directly ear-witnessed the accident illustrated. It was on the H1-2, on the 26 Nov. 2016. I had stopped to watch a Steenbok when I saw a car coming from the opposite direction, suddenly appearing up the hill in the curve at high speed. I flashed my headlights to make him realize that he was driving a bit fast but he disappeared in my rear-view mirror. Some seconds later, I heard a long braking noise followed by a crash. I did a u-turn and I saw that the white Golf, which was driving the same direction as the fast car, with two elderly people who had also stopped (there were some Kudus not far if I remember well) had been bumped into from the rear and had been thrown about two meters on the side of the road. The elderly lady must have hit the windscreen as some blood was flowing on her forehead, but she seemed ok. The culprit was the other white car on the right of the picture (with the open boot), a couple with a young child. I heard later in Skukuza that the driver was drunk. No animal was hurt. I did not take pictures.

I saw another accident on the 26 Feb. 2017, going back home after my Nyalaland trail, north of Satara. The road was wet and a car was off the road (which was a bit elevated at that place). The whole familt was waiting on the side of the road. They must have speeding too because at 50km/h, even on a wet road, there should be no problem.
