A herd of elephants could also be seen in the background

and so we simply had a great time in watching and photographing the come and go

Image

Image

It was as if all the zebras in that area had a meeting at this spot as it felt as if more and more were joining the others.

Image

Image

Occasionally we also spotted a couple of wildebeests between them but we finally started to see only black and white because so many zebras were around.

In a close by bush we spotted a movement and discovered another tchagra

Image

and along the road a troop of baboons who jockeyed for the best spot to sit on

Image

and needless to say that the boss chased all the others away.

Image

We managed to take some close ups

Image

and the younger ones decided to clamber other or better to say smaller branches

Image

whilst others decided to play hide and seek.

Image

Image

Finally we arrived at Duke’s and must say that we never say that waterhole so full as this year and it took not that long until we spotted a yellow breasted bunting

Image

and two knob billed ducks had already a chat on top of a branch.

Image

Another lovely sighting was then a couple of blue waxbills who were busy in presenting to the interested ones the best blade of grass ever.

Image

to be continued.....

Lucky Friday again! :ty: :ty: :ty:

There is meant to be a small zebra/wildebeest migration from the central district to the Sabie river every spring, but it has watered down some years... O-/

Grand zebra and bird pics, Pumbaa! O/\
