VERY good sunrise shots!!! Definitely most impressing in this series, even though you also have that marvellous saddle bill photo (talking about the first one - my favourite there) and some extremely cute hyena captures

That sunrise on the bridge was indeed very special

So many lovely pictures! The waterbuck looks like it's in someone's garden. Was the baboon pregnant?

Mrs. baboon looked indeed pregnant and it was so hot that day and she was not in the mood to move - I fell a bit sorry for her

We loved to spot that many sadle billed storks in the Shingwedzi

For sure supervised by mom who had a lot of the obligatory hitchhikers on her



and on the other side of the road we noticed more hyenas



plus their babysitters



and even still with a lot of puddles in the veld and once again the grass started to grow faster and longer.



Then our owl luck continued again and we spotted more giant eagle owls - in a tree



and the other one on the ground.



Obviously the insects or whatever coming out of the holes on the ground still were emerging from same and attracted again quite a number of raptors. Impalas could be seen in the background in quite a number



and also more marabou and also white storks were present as well



and also lot of Wahlberg as well as tawny eagles were sitting on trees.



After we looked a bit around we returned again to the verreaux giant eagle owl whose buddy still could be seen a bit farer away on the ground.

It was again one of those wonderful bright mornings with a wonderful blue sky and lot of birdies around





and between all the raptors also a lilac breasted roller could be seen as well



and with another brown eagle in the morning sun we continued



and turned into the S52 which was luckily open but for us this is always an extreme quiet road and so it was today as well. We do always stop at the causeway close to Red Rocks



as this is always a lovely spot to stop and look around and today even water was still flowing over that causeway



We then continued our drive but besides some lovely views into the riverbed of the Shingwedzi it was a quiet drive but at least we noticed another woodland kingfisher which could be heard plentiful throughout the drive



and stopped for another Burchell's coucal.
