rayb: "Hello, Richprins. Care to meet at Berg&Dal? We are coming out, you know!"
RP: "Certainly, Ray! It would be nice to finally meet after 10 years. What shall we eat?"
rayb: "I would like to try outdoor cooking!"
RP: "WTF is outdoor cooking?"
rayb: "A braai. I've never done that, how do you do it?"
RP gives long instructions.
rayb: "Oh, so you take the wood and put it onto the ground and then what again?"
RP: "Never mind. I'll come and show you."
Ray is notoriously lazy, so it is unlikely he will put his stuff up. But anyway, Bees and I went off to meet him at Berg & Dal in November last year!
It had been a long week for me, a back injury keeping me down to an hour or two of sleep per night, so I was looking forward to getting away!
We left after work, heading for Numbi.
Two roads:
Interesting selection of speed bumps:
We retraced the steps I always take, having had great luck on the route before. Manung:
And a nice kudu near Faai stream:
It was great to be back!

Re: Rayb Kruger Travel Tale, Not...or Maybe
The Voortrekker Road can be very boring at times...and so it was for the first 300km. But Bees and I were relaxing big time, which is what it's all about!
RP: "So are you ready to meet Ray?"
Bees: "..."
(Bees cannot speak recognisable English. )
And then things began to improve!
And a bit further one of MANY rhino sightings on this very short trip!
This was a very big boy, I must say1
Then a roadblock, with cars cut out!
They were utilising the drainpipe there, have been for years!
The vehicles were many, so we didn't stay long! 50m further on, though, we found out that it was a duplex drainpipe accommodation system!
All to ourselves, as the cars behind obviously didn't think we were watching anything!
And then a remarkable series of bumshots began, although I really like this pic!
We were beginning to relax, as I said!
