Kgalagadi novembre/décembre 2017
5.11 au 8.12.2017

A first throw, not the most glorious :o0ps:
"Google work"

2+3+4.11.2017
Just enough time to drop off my luggage at the Guest House, and I go back to the airport to pick up Lisbeth. I'm happy, I'm happy, I'll take an English course, we'll be two to load/unload the car, to share these evenings so pleasant in the tropics O/\

We will have 4 eyes to look for observations, big or small. Glad, excited, nervous maybe ... I show the Township to Liz.... I'm sorry, shameful.... Have we talked too much? No, no excuses. I planted myself that's all

Moreover I was sick all night, tired of the way ... the shame of my distraction in the Township ... or the first signs of what I drag since January . In short, it started badly 0*\ :o0ps:

Fortunately my friends had done ¾ of the shopping for us, so we had time to polish the rest.

After packing everything in the "double cab", thank you Johan for the help, big departure for the park, 250 km of easy road, but where we must not lose sight of that an animal can appear on one or the other side, and there have been several, all happily avoided ;-)

At the reception, I find my friends, the joy of seeing them again O/\
and we take possession of the chalet No. 21. My friends will arrive a little later, but unfortunately will be forced to return to Upington the day after tomorrow, sick too !

We slept late in the morning and we decide to go as far as Kij Kij and back. We are lucky, we meet a Tawny Eagle, Laner Falcon, Secretary Bird and a Kori Bustard, Antelopes, a big leopard turtle empty, Forktailed Bee-eaters, an African Hoopoe so difficult to photograph and the first Black-headed Heron

Then a Cape Hare (???), which I take first for the back of a Caracal, same color, same coat and then it moves (no, WE move) and we can then see his nose and ears \O

Squirrels play in front of the window of our chalet to the delight of Liz ;-)

I'm still not in good shape and we decide to eat at the restaurant ... big mistake ... it was inedible 0:

Sorry to hear you started off the trip not feeling well! I remember that time when we first met at Uri and the SO & I came from the Nossob side, me having slept most of the way in the back of the car 0*\ Hope you didn't add food poisoning at Twee restaurant... But hearing that the food was inedible, I'm glad that we made the decision not to go there on our last trip. Had planned to but at the end we felt more comfortable with a braai.

Nice photos! Especially of the hard to get by hoopoe
