Matambeni Hide is located on the northern bank of the Letaba River, about 5km along the S62 (on the way to the Engelhard Dam and lookout point), there is a turn-off to the right which leads to the Matambeni Hide.
Matambeni Bird Hide overlooks the massive Engelhard Dam.

This hide is reliant on the water resource currently there, yet,....
With the Sanparks mission statement, about watering holes for
animals,..???? with little regard as to those that donated, maybe soon,
Maybe soon the hide will overlook barren land,.a croc here and there
maybe, the Engelhardt donation may just face doom and nay for what
that may be worth,...
Quite a lot of concrete structure there so boom, boom we require a EIA,..

The dam is one of the oldest and biggest in Kruger, H.! In fact the biggest? But ja, if totally broken it won't be replaced/fixed, unfortunately, I don't think...
