Nyamundwa dam was full!
Some distant waterbuck and hippo, as always!
The drive down to Pretoriuskop was uneventful, with this feeble weather!
Here is a rock with water in it...in May!
Mestel Dam full and deserted as always!

The parking there was flooded with bad erosion, wasn't fixed all winter...

And our first ellie, near Numbi!

SANParks had finally realised after years of neglect and not simply mowing the road verge with a tractor once or twice a season, that the tar road was being encroached on badly by vegetation....the solution was to use a grader to scrape the verges...ugly but better than nothing!
After settling in at our unit and relaxing a bit, it rained quite hard!
But I went out in the dark after the rain for a quick loop...photography is difficult then, almost a night drive!
Another aminal on the outer Faai!

Ground hog day .
We also stop at the ruins when I am working at the site just outside Phabeni it is a nice little picknick spot

The graded sides make it much safer for the animals too ,I was always worried something would jump out the overgrown grass on those roads.
Nice Ellie
