My theory is that they would be able to break it. I'd never let a lion paw the car window like that -
and there were occasions when it could have happened. We drove off before they got a chance O**

Why did he allow the lion to gnaw away at parts of his car?!?!? He should have moved away.
By allowing the lion to do as it pleases, he is "teaching" the habit
