It's the rebellion of the poor, being tired of peaceful methods of raising concerns, lobbying and claim-making. I can relate to the desperation experienced by those communities living on the peripheries of local communities and margins of society. The most disadvantaged are more vulnerable because of poor service delivery where bad or no-governance is the order of the day.
Well then they should take their heads out of their backsides and vote for people who will deliver the service they want and while we are on the subject of poor people, they should start being responsible and have less babies......... How about that for a selution X#X -O-

Are there any? O**

In any case, most likely a big part of the poorest and most ignorant know nothing about other parties or are told that they are white parties.

Even if I do feel sorry for many of those poor people, and there are a lot, it cannot be tolerated that they steel the electricity and make others pay for it. This is where or rather, also here the state is missing.

The state is missing indeed, Lisbeth. In the EU you can get social grants or unemployment benefits if you can't find a job and that's enough to cover living cost. In SA there is only child grant (R440 per month) and old age pension but nothing for the unemployed poor.
Now there is a debate about basic income grant at least.

Where is the political party with a plan to address the unemployment and poverty? Corruption is one problem, but the major issue is unemployment and the lack of a welfare state, these are economic issues, social spending requires a good economic situation with high employment and high taxes.

It is very easy for the priviledged well-off people in the EU or the middle classes in SA to condemn all kind of social unrest from the poor. 0*\

Where are they going to find the money? O**

It would have been better to resolve some of the big problems of the population instead of trying to save SAA ....again... with R10.5 billions 0*\ With another wave of Covid on the way, the company will never survive

The best idea is to grow the economy with investor friendly labour legislation and give people jobs.
Second best idea is the state spends significantly less somewhere else and that means a reduction in the wage bill and the closing down of a number of state-owned enterprises.
An then put some extra taxes on the people with jobs. Income earned on wealth and high incomes can be taxed and a high inheritance tax would be good to address inequality.

At this moment the debt of SA is so high, that all they should do is trying to cut it down, but for that you need investments......the cat biting it's tail O** They cannot raise the taxes either, they are already too high O/ No way out!! O-/

The only way out is a massive cut on public wage bill! SA spends one third of its budget on civil servants salaries, very unique 0-
