Internet Resources

Post by Dindingwe »

I have used a lot an internet site http://www.biodiversityexplorer.org/ mainly for identification purposes, but it had also many useful pieces of information about mammals, birds, reptiles etc... The site is run by Iziko, museums of South Africa.

For several weeks now, it seems the site is no longer active. I hope it is only temporary as it would be a pity not to have access to such a huge source of knowledge. Does one of you know about this site fate ? If not, I will try to contact Iziko.

Thanks !

That's a real shame as it is the second site down now that I used mainly for bird IDs

What a pity :-(

The Birdpics.co.za has returned, but maybe you were talking about another bird site, Mel -O-

No, I was thinking of that. Will put it in my favourites again, if it's active again. Thanks, Lis \O

Great news, Biodiversity Explorer has come back 0/* : http://www.biodiversityexplorer.info/
It is now ".info" and no longer ".org" and the old site does not automatically redirect to the new one.
I could not live longer whithout it !
