Another lovely sighting from our recent trip...
Bedinkt - 8.20 am - 5 Sept 2021

We were sitting at the waterhole watching the antics of the Wildebeest and Gemsbok when all of a sudden they scattered. A few minutes later we spotted a lioness walking to the waterhole .

Not long after that we spotted two fluff balls following her.

She went straight to the waterhole and the cubs battled their way through the mud and hid under a bush to the left of the waterhole.

Mom drank and drank and drank some more. Eventually she went to the bush and called the cubs . She had to go right under the bush herself to get them to come out. I think they were having a well earned nap. They followed her out and sat down and posed for us.

They seemed fascinated by the doves flying around as well as the cars. After a good few minutes of show and tell Mom walked them off towards the dune. ...again the Kgalagadi at it's best.
