Awesome!
Your bird photos are exquisite again
And the impalas are great too,
but the black stork takes the prize for me. I've never ever seen one even though we
got a (single!) pair around here. But they are rather secretive so seeing one is a real treat
in my book
And now I'll say goodbye for the time being - the KTP is calling again

God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.

So many birds,...so little time
Love seeing all the gorgeous birds you photograph that I have never seen - each one a little gift
- speckled mousebird, weaver nest inspector, scarlet-chested sunbird, whydah, malachite w/ chick, dabchicks, ....and green pigeon (never noticed the yellow legs before) -
I also like the dragonfly with its barely perceptible wing reflections

Totally right - Same comes to my mind when seeing waterbucks
We are using for bird photography a Canon EF4-600

Re: From Floods and Surprises in River beds
We were even lucky in finding another rhino mom

with her little one.

Somehow they got a bit restless and stood up

facing all the cars checking them out but gladly they soon calmed down again.

Along our way we spotted more impalas

and elephants before then it got quieter and quieter

and we had to be satisfied with the views into the Mlambane riverbed.

After that extreme extensive round trip it was then already time to check in and we were awarded with bungalow No. 28 right next to the fence with a nice view into the riverbed.

As soon as we had moved in and after a short break we strolled along the fence into the direction of the dam and restaurant. Happily it was a lot to be seen and we stopped for waterbucks

which were indeed plentiful around, we noticed hadeahs on a tree top,

lots of sunbathing terrapins,

more flowers

and a crocodile.

Compared to last year the dam was this year filled up to the brim which was a delight to see and to our further delight we noticed a couple of brown headed parrots in a tree – The whole time they kept very well hidden so it was not easy to get a decent shot.

After quite a while on one of the many benches we walked backed to our bungalow but still noticed white-faced ducks, more waterbucks,

a shy bushbuck

and a butterfly. This is indeed a camp where I can imagine spending a whole day inside same without getting bored as it is extreme easy to spot not only birds but also other animals whilst taking a walk along the fence.

The bushbuck is so cute and I love your orange/red flower and the Terrapins with thick-knee on-lookers
