Day 2 – 19th August 2017

Today we would wait for Roxy and Kelly to join us from JHB, so we slept in and explored what Marloth had to offer.

Firstly a few pics of the little place we stayed in at Marloth:

Looks like a nice rustic place. I like the exposed bricks \O

It has become expensive for overseas visitors, even with a favourable exchange rate, I can imagine for South Africans O-/

I see what you meant about that place being awesome! It certainly looks much better than any KNP accomm \O
And you get to watch little banded mongoose as well. How cute. Can't ID the bird from here, but it seems
quite colourful and that's all a bird needs anyways lol

Day 2 – 19th August 2017 continued..

We waited at Croc bridge for Roxy and Kelly to join us from JHB but while waiting we heard talk of cheetah on the S25 and a lion kill on the first few kilometers of the S28. So, as soon as they got there, we went to see if we could find them.

The cheetah sat up for a few photos before moving to a bush.

The lion kill wasn’t too crowded, and we found a good spot. The lions soon made an appearance.

While we watched the lions, an elephant was feeding behind us.

The male lion made an appearance and chased the rest of the pride away from the kill.

We stopped to see if the cheetah had moved, but it was still in the shade under a tree.

It's a Purple-chested Turaco. The ones that never sit still O**

I have seen my only ones at Marloth \O
