Ja, unique wing trailing feathers with many "hairs" that mask the sound of interaction with each other!
Also the ultimate night vision with extra "photo-receptors" in the cornea to multiply available light.
Also stunning hearing, combined with slightly altered heights of the earholes, for want of a better description, so as to detect "movements" in sounds as they appear.
Also the ability to turn the neck 180 degrees or more..., not unique to owls, but useful and quiet and energy-saving for predominantly ambush preadators!
And Dewi, this is my own theory...but the unique nocturnal niche gravitated to by most owl species over the millenia, rendering them far less defenceless against human encroachment and "casual hunting", compared to raptors!

You even got the lowered ear bit correct.
They can turn their necks a bit more than 180 degrees though (I'll let you look that one up.
