Always the same story, no reason given
IMO Sanparks owe an explanation to their visitors if they close a place like that

Last time we were there the monkeys were a huge problem.
We just stopped to admire the view. But the people trying to have a picnic were having a horrendous time

The picnic spot is open again - it was closed for maintenance!
