I read that as well and assumed that the author might have just been back from KTP
and picked it up there. (Or from friends who just stayed in KTP.)
Would be very worrying...
Although there wouldn't be any need to demolish the hide IF the developments are
going ahead.
Looking at this map (taken from the Final Basic Assessment Report), the hide is
approximately situated where the two roads meet, so not in the area where the
new chalets are supposed to be built.

I have some doubts that the hide will survive - as per the latest development plan for Nossob, it will be very prominently visible from the new chalets.
On the enclosed image, the 9 new chalets are located on or just to the east (river side) of the existing access road, which seems to have been re-routed behind the new chalets, a bit further to the west (in black), whereas it was initially going to traverse the landing strip?
Isn't the rectangle furthest down with the long path, between the new chalets, the/a hide

this image may make more sense.
8 new chalets will be built on or just on the river side of the existing road north from Nossob.
2 new chalets will be built just on the river side of the existing road south from Nossob.
new road access in black.
the new luxury tent sites are not on this map, but lie just south of the existing camping area, between the road and the landing strip.
The green lines in front of the chalets represent sewerage piping and pumps.
I am wondering if the existing fence will be moved out to incorporate the new chalets? Like at Mata Mata.
I had been under the impression that any new development will be made on the existing camp area.
The way your image shows it, they would even extend the camp.
Need to go back to the assessement report...
Where is that image from, Peterbee?
