The next morning we packed to get ready to go to the gate we noticed another car traveling to the gate . We finished packing and got to the gate with about 5 minutes to spare and the other vehicle had not stopped as the morning drive had left the gate open O** 0*\

The plan was to go to the dam again but it was still too dark when we got to the turnoff so we decided to go to the S11 loop and back .
The first slippery sighting of the day was Giant snail
Image

The sun was coming up during this time
Image

Shortly after turning onto the H1 and heading back to the dam we found a hyena
Image

At the dam there was some hippo surfing going on lol
Image

And allot of clacking and carrying on in the carpark
Image

Nothing else was about so we decided to carry on our trip . As we were moving to Malelane that night we decided to Travel via the S3 to Paul Kruger gate and onto Skukuza for lunch . Just before turning onto the S3 we found this family trying to warm up on the road .

Along the S3 we saw the SANPARKS logo onto of a hill ;-)
Image

Even though it was still fairly early the heat was rising and these Impala were already sticking to the shade.
Image

Crossed over the S1 and carried on the S3 heading towards Paul Kruger Gate. Found this hornbill in the road looking for bugs
Image

We passed the S4 intersection and came around a bend and Spots appeared
Image

There was another vehicle some way behind it and it walked right passed us and settled in the shade . I motioned for the other vehicle to pass so we could turn around.

We sat for quite a while filling up memory cards on the cameras ...

Yes Leave the gate open before time I drive straight through especially happens at Tamboti camp >. That way I beat the OSV's from Orpen and Get to my Cheetah Country on the S36 /H7 region well before time allowing me to set up in peace
