Advice please
The SO and I are returning to Kruger, arriving on Sunday 24th March and staying at Malelane Camp for our first few nights. Main ask is how is the Schoemannkloof (spelling??) Pass. Heard somewhere that there are " stop and go " issues. Should we take the old road past the timber factory instead?? We ...

Re: Car rental advice for foreign visitors
Update. I mentioned that I opted for the "zero excess" option when hiring cars in South Africa. I would now state that I do not go for "zero excess" as I can now source a seperate insurance policy here in the UK at a fraction of the price that the rental companies are charging. Re: First Trip (possibly) to KTP
Thats it, not going. too many damn locals. lolololol On a serious note, we did a little more research and were shocked to read that there were no Ellie, Rhino's or Buffs in the area. I gotta be honest, one of the main reasons I like KNP is the Rhino's, ( they gotta be my #1 of all time) For this ...

First Trip (possibly) to KTP
Hi all Trish and I are considering a holiday in KTP in November 2017, bringing our daughter along with us. No doubt there are going to be a lot of questions coming from us. One that has cropped up, and has an awful lot of bearing on whether we take the trip or not is................... Do they have ...

Re: SANParks vehicle goes off bridge
Read on FB re the ranger firing shots to scare off the elephant that the ranger had "apparently" spoken to a few tourists in their cars about firing shots to see if it was ok?????? After some replies, BANG,BANG, BANG,. On investigation, it was found that he had broken Park Rules (sic) and was given ...

Re: Flutts, The Brat and Mommo Looking for Caracal
Raw or not, it tasted marvellous. Thanks ( to be truthful, that wasn't a boerewors, it was a fatwors, the amount of flame it produced. )

Re: Car rental advice for foreign visitors
My experiences so far I have used 3 "factors" in the past for renting vehicles whilst on holiday. These are CarHire300 (now Carrentals), Autoeurope and Holiday Autos. I only used Holiday Autos once and vowed never to use them again. The other 2 companies do a search process and offer a series of ...
