Re: In Search of Some Good "Spots"

It was our second last night in Kruger but our last opportunity to go on a Night Drive and search for the ever-elusive Serval, so after a quick dinner we climbed on the truck one more time. It turned out to be a fantastic evening for nocturnal wildlife. We turned up 4 Genets, 2 Civets, 2 African ...

Re: In Search of Some Good "Spots"

Sunday 27th August continued... The day ended with a pleasant drive back along the H4-1 to Lower Sabie, with short detours at the H12 and H10 to soak up the views. The light was gorgeous, as it often is at that time of day. 92-IMG_9426_sml.jpg 93-IMG_9431_sml.jpg 94-DSC09420_sml.jpg 95-IMG_9439_sml ...

Re: And then the rain set in or at dusk the bush comes alive

I have just caught up Pumbaa! Been away for a while... What a treat it has been enjoying all your beautiful photos. And you saw 'our' lion cubs! Its fantastic to see the four were still surviving when you were there. ^Q^ O\/ I considered your mystery falcon might be a female Lesser Kestrel? Looking ...

Re: In Search of Some Good "Spots"

Sunday 27th August continued... After a long day on the road we bypassed many common sightings, only stopping if good photographic opportunities presented. Further along the H3 a Dark Chanting Goshawk had an itch it needed to scratch. 84-IMG_9293_edit_sml.jpg Back on the H4-1 we ran into the ...

Re: In Search of Some Good "Spots"

I am glad you all enjoyed the pics. We thought it was quite unique to see the antelope on that cracking mud. They sure had to be careful as they walked around. And the Turaco was certainly the icing on the cake! \O Thanks for the info on the Nyala Richprins. They are a favourite of mine so I forgive ...
