Yes, it is kind of a pity impala are so abundant, as they are such beautiful animals, Pumbaa!
What a nice selection, and rare to see the osprey!
You are lucky with dogs!
The flowers are invader plants, I think...

Amazing captures of the impalas - with or without the oxpeckers
Doggies again
Beautiful roller photos

That rhino had a nice horn.
Lovely pics of the impala and birds. Those flowers look like hydrangeas!

Wow that first rhino has a big horn!
You were so lucky with the doggies that day.

And normally not difficult to find
Me too but nevertheless they are beautiful
We would have loved to see the doggies much closer but you cannot have everything

We do always love to spot rhinos

Re: And then the rain set in or at dusk the bush comes alive
We spotted a great white egret,
got entertained by a hippo mom plus her youngster
and finally could also capture the darter who we only saw too far away when we arrived at that spot
but same had obviously compassion with us and returned for a longer photo session on an even closer rock.
We even could find hadedahs and a purple heron but both species were too far away for decent shots. Although we heard a lot of cars pass by we were the whole time we stopped at that loop the only car and after a more than lovely break we continued our drive and had to stop only shortly again because of a leopard tortoise taking a drink from the road
and we also noted with gladness that it also rained in that area of the park only recently as the road was still a bit muddy.
All in all the rest of our drive on the S25 was quiet but at least it cleared more and more up and the sun was about to chase the clouds away but we surely stopped for a couple of giraffes,
zebras
and for our very first wildebeest during that trip.
The last stretch on the tar road between the S25 turn off and Crocodile Bridge was then again teeming with lots of general animals such as zebras plus hundreds of cattle egrets.

Re: And then the rain set in or at dusk the bush comes alive
Love that tree full of cattle egrets
and we definitely could not decide where to look first as there were zebras hanging around nearly everywhere
as well as the uncountable numbers of cattle egrets.
A more than nice sighting was then a kori bustard
extreme close to the road and without any disturbing high grass
but with lot of impalas, zebras and other cars around.
Another reason for the amount of traffic along that road wa the Sunday, the closeness of the gate and for sure a pride of lions extreme close to the road.
Due to the amount of cars they were extreme difficult to photograph so we decided to return again later to that spot but at least we saw our very first lions during that trip as well. We stopped shortly at Gesanftombi and were shocked to see that the dam was totally dry although the view from the bridge guessed a lot of water as the other side of the dam was as full as we never saw it before.
Meanwhile it was also time to check in and so we drove into the direction of camp and had to stopp for a wahlberg in flight
before we checked in and we got again bungalow No. 10 which is our favourite in that camp. After a short break and after we packed everything away we wanted to do a longer drive along the S28 but beforehand we had to capture some birdies which could be seen
in a large tree close to our bungalow – Gladly we spotted as well a sunbird!

Exquisite views and pics, Pumbaa!
Ja, both sides of Gezantombi are dry now already, but maybe they got some rain this week?
