That's what we did immediately. Not what you really want to do, but it is safer. \O

Re: Going to the Northern Cape slowly - the complete story.

I must say though that my feeling is the dune roads are to be driven with care. On our way back to KTC from Nossob later in the day I got the fright of the trip - I "fell asleep" behind the steering wheel. It was the weirdest sensation. I thought I was awake and aware of my surroundings, when Duco ...

Will be following this closely as we're planning a Namibian trip in the not too distant future. O/\

Re: Going to the Northern Cape slowly - the complete story.

0/* And back again... Next morning saw us driving to Nossob via second dune road. It was wet...really wet. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/6qj1yjw1m8lq5pn/_MG_1369.jpg? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/hy6j3jrkcysfet0/IMG_1732.jpg? Hyenas on a mission: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s ...

Re: Tuskers of Kruger Discussions & Identification

We will still support your site and send any photos if we go to KNP again. I submitted the photos of Ngodzi and Nwanedzi to Sanparks to test the new initiative. It's a mess. Unless it's one of the named tuskers from Letaba, they are as lost as the next person. The bull is being monitored, no good ...

Re: Going to the Northern Cape slowly - the complete story.

Going here by what we were told by staff, Bushcraft.
The snake was identified as a young puffie by guys at Mata-mata and by the camp keeper at KTC.
The twin springbok, we were told by Jannie at Twee Rivieren, is uncommon but not unheard of.

Re: Going to the Northern Cape slowly - the complete story.

Why don't you consider cheetahs as being cute anymore? Because of the intro photo? O** Oh that story still needs to be told. O** After a searingly hot day at KTC we went out again around 4 for an afternoon drive. Oh and by the way - keep your mouth shut when you shower at KTC. You do not want to ...

Re: Going to the Northern Cape slowly - the complete story.

While at Mata-Mata we had to check out Sitza's Farm Stall on the Namibian side. No trouble if you have your passport on you, you simply walk across. Highly recommended for some really good fresh springbok and lamb. Keep in mind that fresh meat is delivered on a Tuesday and sell out fast. O/\ Just ...

Ngodzi Tusker Kruger National Park

15 February 2014 Ngodzi blocked our way between Olifants and Letaba. You'll notice we were rather far from him... 0*\ DuQues had to shoot at 400mm! It did get better later on as you'll notice by the closeness of the elephants to the car. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/j43dav5psqkvfzn/IMG_4702 ...
