Striped Kingfisher Halcyon chelicuti
Most likely to be confused with the brown-hooded Kingfisher but the Striped Kingfisher is less brown and has whitish streaked breast, white neck collar and a blue rump.
Locally common resident. Found in open woodland and is present in Mopane vegetation.
Monogamous, and occasionally a co-operative breeder with additional helpers.
Nests in old Barbet and woodpecker holes, natural tree cavities swallow nests and nest boxes. Parasitised by the Lesser Honeyguide.
I have no photos so will appreciate it if others post photos.

Grey-headed Kingfisher Halcyon leucocephala
A very handsome kingfisher that is characterised by its all red bill grey head and chest and chestnut belly. Occurs in mature woodlands, often near water. Sits quietly on a branch, scanning the ground for insects and therefore can easily be overlooked.
