Heksie, Sprocky maintains that there are cats up north but I don't believe him!

Sometimes it’s not until you don’t see what you want to see, that you truly open your eyes.

I don't mean the Shingwedzi north area, but rather south towards Mopani, Tsendze, Letaba areas

Brace yourself Flutters...
Just to prove that we have cats in the north, Mopani area.
They always come together (pun intended), making for a double sighting...
First up, the most common cat in the area, two of them, Panthera leo, keeping the northern specie going...

Next ladies, gentlemen and Flutters, -O Acinonyx jubatus, again two of them...

Followed by Panthera pardus, once again two of them...

And wait for it,...there's more...
Leo and Pardus on the same stretch of road.
The Lion is a bit small in the image, but close enough for both animals to be very cautious of each other.

Not too bad for a catless north I would say.
BTW, at all of the above sightings I was in the only car in the area.

We saw Leopard, Lion and Cheetah within 1.5 km from Shingwedzi
RP the Wilddogs was 12kms from Shingwedzi towards Mopani
