After a night in Chicago with Megs, we finally got on our way and flew up to Anchorage where we connected with our flight to Kodiak. As we were about to touch down, thick fog rolled in over the airfield and the plane shot up vertically from just a few feet from landing. Two more attempts at this and the Captain decided to head back to Anchorage for the night. We soon found a hotel to stay in for the night and headed to the local store for a case of beers and snacks.

Meg samples a local brew at Anchorage airport.

We decided to go for the local brew.

But thought better of it after reading the back of the bottle.

And went back to having a few more....

beers.

By this time, we were seeing wildlife everywhere....

Next up, we finally arrive in Kodiak....
