We came across her at Lifersdraai waterhole at 17:30. She left the waterhole and headed south, finally crossing the road and disappearing towards the southeast.

she was waiting for a Hyena who was drinking at the Lijersdraai waterhole... moves to the bush
when the way was free, an Oryx was a bit too near... "received" a warning in form of a grimace
she is pregnant

We were watching a group of meerkats between Samevloeiing and Leeuwdril
who seemed to be very tense and alert to something when all of a sudden a
dotted tail popped up through my binocs - and it was Rooiputs

This is Balete who we met in March this year. A very small leopard,
but obviously quite a tough lady - she still appears on SP webcam in regular intervals.

I think, she gave us the best leopard sighting ever so far: We watched her catch a jackal
directly in front of Nossob hide, walked with her along the Nossob fence the next morning
and were able to watch her feed on said jackal that night from very close proximity.
Will never forget that experience!

The next one was Miera. We had seen her on our final day of our trip in April 2011,
but the better sighting followed in October of the same year:
