Thanks Guyssteamtrainfan wrote:Hey Sharifa, stunning photos expecially the battling bishops.
You are very lucky to see them in your garden.
Like your fancy bird feeder, can we see a full picture of it please?

Its a homemade bird feeder. Took a 2l coke bottle and cut holes on two sides. Used the tops of two other 1l coke bottles and just glued a strip of plastic so the seeds don't fall out. Filled the bottle with plaster of paris just for the base, and stuck a wooden stick through before it hardened, for the birds to sit on. I decorated it with beads but I see now I need to re-decorate the diner

Now all I do is open the top and use a funnel to fill up the seeds.

Re: Garden Bird Pictures
We have a pair of Crested Barbets living in the two nesting logs in our garden, they occupy both and it depends on the female's mood where they sleep the night. The male was alone for about six months, calling and calling everyday and we were so glad when the female joined him about 18 months ago. They have raised two sets of chicks already and are very good parents. This is the male and he cleans house all the time.
