You saw the baby Wattled Lapwing... isn't it too cute - but so scared. With the slightest sounds it runs for shelter.

That baby eland is to die for. Very cute! So is the chick of some sort. Need to look at it again later.
Would like to know what it is. Could it be a thick-knee. No idea. But fluffy sweet.

Here is our first for Rietvlei.

Common or Southern Reedbuck






Across the road from the reedbuck was this waterbuck.


And a second one.


A black shouldered kite straight into the light but could not resist taking the shot.


Finally at 18:15 with dark threatening clouds making the dull conditions even worse.
