I will start to post some of the pics of my November trip during the next weeks here.
The first pic shows an animal that I never expected to find in Kruger: a crab I saw this specimen walking a few km 's outside Pretoriuskop but I have no idea why he was there or where he was coming from...

Hello, fc!
Most freshwater bodies here have crabs, a constant irritation for fishermen!
(Hope that came out right...)
As with many amphibious inhabitants, they may move to replenished pans/streams after rains!

special moments
I decided to start a new thread to report about the best sightings of my last November trip.
Thank you Richprins for your infos about the crab, I didn't know that before and was very surprised about this sighting.
For today I have a pic of a Ground Hornbill that was resting on top of a dead tree in the middle of a rainy day. Unfortunetely I didn't see many of them this time.

Nice, fc, and thanks!
The hornbill is hanging its white primaries out to dry a bit...in fact they make a great pic when in flight, which is not often!
Wonder why they are white? Maybe some alarm thing?
Now for a pic of dup!

Re: special moments
Crab? This must be a VERY spectacular sight in KNP?
Interesting!
God put me on earth to accomplish a certain amount of things. Right now I'm so far behind that I'll never die.
