I've watched blackbird dads feeding their youngsters. -O-

That's normal, Mel, :-) both parents feed young in blackbirds, but not in thick-billed weavers ^0^

At no stage did the female even try and feed herself. Could this be dependent submission on her part. :-?

no, I bought the balls with the plastic fillet and then the rest is home made
and I put ONLY if weather is cold/snowy... was snowy 2-3 days ago, then almost finished today... in the sun 0*\
