Good point about the video, PRWIN! \O

The Park is not managed by "adequately qualified officials" at all, in my opinion! Those at sub-management level are far more in tune with what needs to be done, but have to follow orders from above...regarding field rangers in this case.

Phaahla et al's spin has been exposed...now Abe has to come into the fray without having spoken to the rangers, I'll bet... :O^

And starts talking legal crap (bullying). I said earlier no surprise the videographer's driver wished to remain anonymous...at least he knows the video is evidence enough. O:V

Management spends too much time on social media, and too little in the field, IMO. O**

From the word go the couple's refusal to speak to the media should have raised concerns.

With the amount of lying going on, I wouldn't be surprised if the ellie wasn't even shot! Any pics of that carcass?

Now we know what it looks like...I'm going to see if I can' find him! =O:

The guide's first name is Lex, not Les, BTW!

okie...not sure about the bushmeat thing...don't think that is applicable here? :-?

All sorts of horror stories locally about meat being delivered across the fence for years now anyway. But that is another topic.

I also wondered about this. O**

I would also like to know how the same ellie was indentified. (I suppose rangers can ID and know all problem ellies in the park, or did they just for some reason know this ellie O** )

Clarity on what happened to the ellie carcass thereafter and I don't think the bush meat thing isn't for here as remember that ellie shot outside Lower Sabie a few years ago and the “shooters” posing on top of it for pics and then pics of them hacking and taking pieces of it away for “bush meat” It tends to make me wonder if it doesn’t influence the pulling of the trigger

BTW, why has this developed into this drama when many ellies have been shot over the years on bush walks? Aren’t they as intrusive and haven’t they resulted in more ellie kills over the years than these type in incidents?

Walks are different and controlled, I think, BC? Some semblance of order and training.

This is tourist vehicle independent stuff! :-)

Ironically Abe earned his spurs as a ranger/guide, and was well-respected, and still is!... Ai! Politics! 0*\

PRWIN, it is the video of the footage taken by the people behind the attacked vehicle that Sanparks are referring to. They have asked those people to come forward and make a statement.

I know , but if they had taken the video out of the flipped car they would not need the second video as evidence. I would love to have seen that video.

Not sure if they are legally allowed to take the camera and check footage without the owners permission. -O- -O-
