Not sure what the general is basing his figures on, rhino's poached nearly double but they brought poaching incidence down to 42.6% from 72.6% . -O- -O- SANParks asking public for support, but they should be talking to gov. Without them, nothing the public do will be good enough. This needs gov to tell Mozambique to act or we will. O/ O/

it is now up to the prosecuting teams, investigators and the SAPS to conclude what we have started. We would like to ask the public, law enforcement agencies and our counterparts in Mozambique, to play their part, match the work that is being done by the Rangers and we will reap the rewards and win this war

I agree with Jooste!

Also good to finally release the numbers of poachers killed! \O

Like I said.
The General needs to start calculating again.

Hmmmm.
I do agree with what is being said, but it coming fast to the point of being too little too late.

Talk, as always, is cheap and especially with our "good neighbours" will sign every paper they get shoved on their desks just to get rid of all the unwanted attention.
All the MOU's signed is not even worth the toilet paper it is printed on as they are not obided by anyway.

We have had many talks over the last 3 years with many papers signed at the costs of many millions of Rands.
Those funds should have been used to protect the Rhinos and not for misleading parties and outings.

It is an outrage!

I think with "counterparts" he means the Moz/Transfrontier conservation staff on the ground, not MOU's...nobody takes that seriously.

Meant counterparts as a whole.
MOU's are only one part of it.
It just irks me big time that a lot of money is wasted which should have gone into something constructive.
