Close to Satara camp I found KUMANA.
Special for me since I never saw this one before.
Wide splayed tusks and as you can see he was not really taking care of his ears… ragged and notches and holes….

Madolo Tusker Kruger National Park
I have this sighting from way back in 2007. Could only get one shot with the point and shoot camera I had at the time. He was identified as emerging tusker Madolo and seen on the 65, just south of the waterhole.

Makungwe Female Tusker Kruger National Park
August 28th 2010 on a morning drive from Pretoriuskop to Lower Sabi
We came across a herd of elephant and the 1 looked a little weird. I said “look at that strange elephant, it may be a tusker”, Chantal’s response was “It’s just eating a branch”, so I took her word for it and moved on, but Supernova and Melly looked a little more carefully and fortunately took a few pictures.
It was Makungwe, an emerging tusker. The only Cow, besides Chantal, that seems to have this status. Aat has updated her profile on his site, but Supernova took the photo not me.

Skukuza/Lower Sabie road H4-1, Dec. 2012
On the way back to Skukuza, just after passing Sunset Dam, we had a fantastic sighing of Makungwe. The calf that was with her appeared to be hobbling a bit. The small herd browsed a bit next to the road, then crossed, and headed south. Aat, a big Thank You for posting my photos on your website. My son is very excited by that
